What are you assuming folks already know? πŸ€”

If good folks like your clients, employees, etc. are confused about what you expect them to do in any given situation, you’re in trouble.

“Why?”

Because β€œI give up” is usually next.

The good news: While orienting folks in life and in business is a never-ending job, you can make it easier by following a simple three-step formula.

Step #1: Keep It Super Simple.
(By ‘it,’ we mean your ‘how-tos,’ signs, manuals, emails, etc.)

Step #2: Use pictures to orient folks.
(Because most people think with their eyes.)

Step #3: Immediately ask yourself, “What else am I assuming folks already know?” and then quickly go back to step #1.
(Because this kind of work is never done.)

Wanna see an example of a business that orients folks simply and well?

Here’s one: Robomow. πŸ‘‡Β In a sentence, they say, “We mow, you don’t.”

And the photo doesn’t hurt, does it?
